VISITORS TOTAL 50 FOR LADIES’ GOLF TOURNAMENT

Fifty players from outside clubs will be among the 80 who will take part in the Whakatane Ladies’ Golf Club’s Open Tournament beginning on Wednesday.

Clubs represented will be Auckland, Poverty Bay, New Plymouth, Hamilton, Pukekohe, Tauranga, Mt. Maunganui, Te Puke, Opotiki, Rotorua and Morrinsville. Low-handicap players are headed by Mrs J. R. Morris, of Auckland, on a four. Last year, she was runner-up to Mrs G. Tippett for the championship. Players will drive off from Numbers 1 and 10 tees in three, as follows:
