Two Terms Mr R. T. Morpeth has served for two terms as a Whakatane Borough Councillor, not one term as published on Wednesday.
Hospital Fish Fry In view of the electricity used by its double fish 1 fry, the Whakatane Hospital Board is inquiring about changing it for a smaller one. The Board decided yesterday to inquire also about the availability or otherwise of a steam-heated fry.
Permission For Stall Permission for the Registered Nurses’ Association to hold a stall in the grounds to provide funds for the Association and comforts for nurses on the staff was granted at a meeting of the Whakatane Hospital Board yesterday.
Y.F.C. Debate Eastern Bay members of Young Farmers’ Clubs will be going to Rotorua on Wednesday, September 27 when the final of the debating contest for the North Island and the semi-final for New Zealand will take place. Clubs taking part will be / Manurewa, representing Auckland province and Norsewood representing Wellington Province.
