Indoor Bowling
ST. JOHN BEAT AWAKERI The Whakatane St. John Ambulance Indoor Bowling team narrowly defeated their challengers, Awakeri Indoor Bowling Club, 8/3, 3/7, 8/7 in a match played in the St. John Hall, Whakatane, on Wednesday. The teams were: Awakeri Club: C. Butler (skip), F. Horidge, 7 C. Smith and D. Bradley, and for the St. John: E. J. Ramson (skip), H. L. Drube. A. W. Mclntosh and G. Ramson.
The next challenge to be faced by the St. John team will be played against Board Mils Social Club next Wednesday.
