The population of the United States grew more rapidly .in the past 10 years than in any previous decade in the Nation’s history, according to the latest figures of the U.S. Census Bureau. The 150,520,198 persons counted in the 1950 census represents a gain of nearly 19,000,000 over the total for 1940.
