Dressmaking Tutor Is Farewelled At Edgecumbe
A very pleasant evening was spent at Edgecumbe when the combined sewing classes of the Rangitaiki Group farewelled Miss Flower, a visiting dressmaking tutor. Competitions, games and community singing were part of the entertainment provided. A mannequin parade was an interesting attraction, each mannequin wearing frocks, which had been made through the term. Mrs T. G. Roberts presented Miss Flower with a bouquet and a crystal powder bowl. Mrs J. Sutton presented a shoulder spray from the Awakeri class. Miss Flower replied. Competition winners: Miss N. Lewis, Mesdames M. Woodbury and J. Arrol.
