Whakatane Archery Club's New Season Opening Soon

The new season of the Whakatane Archery Club is to dpen on the Domain on September 2 and members are to go into training for the Standard Rose Bowl shoot to be held between all Bay of Plenty clubs at Whakatane in November. This was decided at a meeting of the Club this week. The opening day will be attended by the Otakiri Club. A cup for competition in the club has been donated by Mr H. Armstrong and is to be competed for during the season. It was stated at the meeting that more members are wanted. Already the club has become firmly established but a larger membership would improve the standard of competition. To encourage new members the club invites any people interested to attend their club' days on Saturday afternoon at the Domain at 1 o’clock where free tuition Will be given in the use of the bow.
