Ayrshire Breeders Will Subsidise Show Prize Money

Highlights of the annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Ayrshire Breeders’ Club, held on Mr J. Busby’s farm at Otakiri on August 8, were the decision to subsidise prize money at Bay of Plenty Shows to the extent of £ls for specified classes and the allocation of £lO for prize money for a show preceding the annual bull and heifer sale in Whakatane on September 29. Mr A. H. Adams, of Whakatane, was elected president in succession to Mr S. Wright of Katikati, who was elected a life member in recognition of his long service to the breed. Mrs S. C. Busby was reelected secretary, Mr F. S. Hutchings, of Ngakuru, continues as representative of Bay of Plenty on the New Zealand Ayrshire Breeders’ Council.
