Mr R. Broyce, Rotorua, who has been staying in Whakatane for the last week, returned home yesterday.
Miss B. Clothier, of Matamata, is on holiday with Mr and Mrs F. Comer, Whakatane.
Mr and Mrs L. Churchouse left Whakatane yesterday for their home at Putaruru:
Mr and Mrs P. A. Hamlyn, of Wanganui, were week-end visitors to Whakatane.
Mr M. Comer is spending a week’s holiday with his parents, Mr and Mrs F. Comer, Simpkin Street. Whakatane.
Miss Helen Joyce, of Stewart Street, Whakatane, is a member of the Otaihape Alpine Club’s winter party at the Chateau, Tongariro.
Miss W. Fennejl is at present on holiday with her parents Mr and Mrs J. C. Fennell. Goulstone Road. Whakatane.
Mr W. W. Turner, formerly editor of the Taihape Times, has arrived at Whakatane to take up a position as editor of the Bay of Plenty Beacon.
Mrs A. W. Winstone, secretary of the Eastern Bay of Plenty Red Crcfss Centre, left Whakatane yesterday to attend the annual meeting of the Red Cross Dominion Council at Christchurch.
Mr J. T. Lodge, Postmaster of the Te Aro Post Office, Wellington, who has been relieving at Whakatane during the absence of Mr G. A. Wilke's, who has been on annual leave, returns to Wellington tomorrow.
