Basketball
SEASON WILL CLOSE TOMORROW With the holding of the knockout tournament the Whakatane basketball season Will close on the Domain Courts tomorrow. Field games and a marching competition have been included in .the programme, which is due to start at 1 p.m., and will provide a great variety of entertainment. All teams are expected to be represented. In addition the final of the B grade competition will be decided at 2 p.m. when Paroa B plays Taneatua. Both teams are level at the present time. Tomorrow will probably be the last basketball played for the season for most teams but a few will be attending the main tournament of the year for this area to be held at Rotorua next month.
