Fertiliser Trials On Potatoes
Reference to trials in which sulphate of ammonia was applied to potatoes as a side dressing at various stages of growth of the crop to compare results with those obtained when the fertiliser was sown with the seed is made in the annual report of the Department of Agriculture. Contrary to overseas results, says the report, the later applications of sulphate of ammonia showed no advantage over application with the seed.
