Representation Is Wanted For Harbour

A move to obtain representation for small ports like Whakatane on the New Zealand Harbours’ Association is supported by the Whakatane Harbour Board. At the bimonthly meetirig a copy of a remit from the Gisborne Harbour Board was considered.

The remit sought the following representation on the Association’s executive: Large ports five members, smaller ports such as Gisborne and Greymouth two, and small ports such as Whakatane one; At the present time only major harbours are represented.
