Combined R.S.A.-H.S.A Annual Ball Was Fine Success

The Whakatane Returned Services Association in conjunction with the Home Services Association held their second annual ball on Wednesday night and it was quite a success despite the lack of numbers, especially R.S.A. members who were not in attendance. The winter show hall was tastefully decorated and the floor kept in excellent shape.

During the evening the president, Mr T. Macken, thanked all for attending and hoped they would have a good tifne. The Claret Cup and an excellent supper and music helped patrons to enjoy themselves to the full. Just before supper a floor show was given by the professionals Athol, Agnelia and Clive, who gave a very good display. The thanks of the committee go to those willing workers who put in so much time for early preparations. !
