SCHOOL LIBRARY

Sir—May I take this opportunity of expressing publicly to the Legion of Frontiersmen, the school’s gratitude and appreciation of' their efforts in last Saturday’s book drive. The results, both in books and in donations, exceeded all expectations and provide the Primary School with the nucleus of a very fine library. The organisation of the collection was carried out with the efficiency which the public has come to expect of the Legion. Thanks are also due to the members of the Boys’ Brigade who assisted the Frontiersmen and to the members of the staff and the committee who helped in the sorting of the books at the school. Yours etc., K. E. FRANCIS, Chairman, Whakatane Primary School Committee. Whakatane, July 27.
