OUTDOOR SHOOTING BY THORNTON Y.F.C. Nine members of the Thornton Young Farmers’ Club shot their official targets for the New Zealandwide Y.F.C. postal shoot at the Legion of Frontiersmen outdoor rifle range, Whakatane, on Sunday afternoon. Although official scores for the competition shoot will not be available for some weeks, g practice round held before the serious shoot resulted' in the following scores:—
J. Gow 84, O. Burnett 82, M. Law 82, D. Jones 72, F. Broadmore 62, B. Martin 62, I. Law 61, A. > Martin 61, T. Shaw 60. At the conclusion of the shoot .Mr F. Broadmore thanked members of the Legion of Frontiersmen for supervising the shoot and for the use of the range.
