Home-Life Training Block Approved For Whakatane School

The Whakatane High School is to have a home-life training block. Following strong representations by the Member for the district, Mr Sullivan, Cabinet has approved of the capital expenditure necessary for the construction of a home-life block at the school. The curriculum at the school requires that manual training be given and as a result this has been carried out under most unsatisfactory conditions. There has been considerable agitation in the district for an improvement and the home-life block now approved is expected to contain the most modern appliances and facilities for the training of boys and girls.
