Patience, Industry And Co-operation

The monthly meeting of the Ohope Women’s Institute was well attended, Mrs White presiding. Mr Parr, the guest speaker, gave an interesting talk on patience, co-op-eration and industry. While the judging of the competitions was being done, afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Pearson, Clarke, Cutler and Anderson. Competition results:— Foliage, Mrs Pearson 1, Mrs Dickson 2, pine needle basket, Mrs White 1, Mrs Anderson 2; open tart, Mrs Pearson 1, Mrs Parr 2; best vegetable, Mrs Dickson 1.
