When they line up on Spriggens Park for their match against Wanganui this afternoon, members of the British Isles Rugby team will be greeted by a Maori haka. The haka will be performed by all members of the Wainui-a-Rua team, who will play Wanganui colts in the main curtain raiser to the big match. The team will be in full costume with piu-pius and headgear. Pakeha members of the team will be “blackened up” for the occasion. It is understood that on their tour to date the British team has not heard a Maori haka.
