No Magistrate’s Court
No magistrate’s court was held at Whakatane on Tuesday because of the inability of the magistrate, Mr E. L. Walton, to travel from Gisborne. The road from Gisborne to the Bay of Plenty has been blocked since Thursday and there has been some difficulty in reopening it again to traffic. Mr Walton expects to be at Whakatane on Friday when the usual monthly court is to be held.
