Mexican Monte Carlo Is Held At Ohope Dance Social
A Mexican monte carlo was a feature of the dance conducted by the Ohope Progress League and Parent-Teacher Association in the Captain’s Cabin, Ohope, on Thursday night. It was an amusing novelty and proved to be very popular.
Among the dancers there were some bright frocks in gay colours that added to the pleasant atmosphere of the evening. Some of those present were:— Mesdames Dickson, wearing wine crepe frock; E. D. Steel, navy blue georgette frock, trimmed with light blue beads; Ivan Wyatt, silk paisley frock featuring bustle effect. Misses Janet Bluett, blue silk linen frock; Betty Bluett, black frock with soffee lace yoke; Dawn Murray, pinafore frock and white lace blouse; Valda Neill, green and white linen frock; Ann Bluett, sea green linen frock.
