Mrs R. Hunter Wins Aggregate In Local Archery Shoot

Shooting consistently well throughout Mrs R. Hunter, Whakatane, gained the highest aggregate score in the women’s section of the novelty shoot competition at the closing day of the Whakatane Archery Club on Saturday. Because of very wet weather the shoot was held in the winter show building and was attended by archers from Cpotiki, Tauranga and Otakiri, which was taking part in its first inter-club competition. The men’s aggregate score trophy was won by the Opotiki archer, B. Chatfield. The visitors were welcomed by the Whakatane field captain, Mr R. Hunter. Messrs S. Morrell, Tauranga, A. Smith, Otakiri, and B. Chatfield, Opotiki, replied. Results with following abbrevations, (T) Tauranga, (O) Opotiki, (Ot) Otakiri, (W) Whakatane— William Tell shoot: Women: Mrs R. Hunter (W) 1, Mrs E.
