FINAL RESULTS OF SHOW POULTRY

Outstanding Entries Exhibited In All Major Sections Some of the outstanding birds exhibited in the major classes of the poultry section of the Whakatane Winter Show could have been entered with distinction in any show in New Zealand, according to the judge, Mr J. Brooks, Hamilton. In all classes the standard vas particlarly high although a number of birds were spoilt by twisted tails and scaley legs. The feet and legs should be cleared before exhibitors enter birds in shows, Mr Brooks remarked. In the pigeon section Mr Brooks said that a fair standard had been reached, the homers especially being very good. Although provision was made for larger entries- than last year it was found when all the birds arrived there was not adequate accommodation. Carpenters had to be hired immediately to construct extra cages. - The following are the . full poultry section results:—
