WHAKATANE HARBOUR BOARD PURSUANT to Section 8 of The Public Bodies Leases Act, 1908, tenders are hereby invited for a lease of each of those pieces of land being' (a) that piece of land containing *14.69 perches being Lot 3 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as Number 25775 part of Allotment 245 of the Parish of Waimana, (b) that piece of land containing 10 perches (approx.) being Lot 1 of Lot 8 of Allotment 245 of the Parish of Waimana. Upset Rentals (a) Lot 3 £3O per annum (b) Lot 1 £2O per annum. CONDITIONS OF TENDER 1. TENDERS shall be in writing e dressed to The Secretary, Whakatane Harbour Board, Whakatane, and marked on outside “Tender for Lease” and each tender shall apply to ony one of the above Lots, 2. TENDERS shall close on Friday the 21st day of July, 1950. The highest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. 3. WITHIN one month after acceptance of tender the Lessee shall execute a Lease in conformity with the subjoined conditions which Lease shall be prepared by the Board’s Solicitor and the costs thereof shall be paid by the Lessee. MATERIAL CONTENTS OF LEASE 1. THE Lease shall be for a term of Fourteen (14) years with a perpetual right of renewal for terms of Fourteen (14) years each in accordance with the provisions of the First Schedule of “The Public Bodies Leases Act, 1908.” 2. THE Lessee convenants to pay rent half-yearly in advance and all rates and taxes, to refrain from offensive trading, to repair and maintain, to make sanitary installations, to erect on each Lot and within two (2) years a building of value of at least £1,500 and not to assign lease before such erection. 3. THE Board reserves the right to alter, defer or abandon any of its proposals of subdivision, roading, rights of way, access, reserves or works of any kind not yet cari led out. 4.
