V HAKATANE COMPETITOR SECOND

The standard of shooting was particularly good at the Waikato Miniature Association’s rifle championships held at Cambridge on Saturday. Although Whakatane was not represented in the group of prizwinners one competitor, Miss D. Tyssen, was second with 85 points in the junior championship. During the afternoon, an Association meeting was held, delegates being present from Cambridge, Hamilton, Te Aroha, Mangakino, Rotorua and Whakatane when it was decided to bold next year’s championships at Rotorua.
