KEFEKEES SELECTED FOR

WEEK-END

Refei'ees have been selected for all Rugby matches to be played in the Whakatane and Rangitaiki Unions tomorrow and on Monday. At Whakatane the usual club matches will be played while at Te Teko the Rangitaiki Union is conducting trials to select teams to meet Whakatane at Te Teko on Monday. The referees selected are:—

Monday: Whakatane v Rangitaiki: Junior A. Magee; senior B AvMitchell; senior A B. Smith.

Tomorrow: Rangitaiki Trials: Junior at 1 p.m. A. Hegh; senior at 2.30 p.m. B. Smith. Whakatane: Seniors: Wairaka v Poroporo, No. 1 Field, A. Mitchell; Paroa v Taneatua at Taneatua, M. Thatcher; United v Ruatoki, No. 2 Field, J. Keepa. Juniors: United v Wairaka No. 1 Field, H. Craig; Paroa v School No. 2 Field, B. Norman; Taneatua v’ Poroporo at Taneatua, C. White. Third grade: School A v Ruatoki No. 1 Field, T. De Lacey; School B v Paroa No. 2 Field, M. Ridley.

GALATEA TRIAL GAMES TOMORROW

The following are teams selected to play in a representative trial game at the Rangitahi ground, Galatea, at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow:— A team: D. Wilson, McDonald, Anderson, Gabolinski, Rangi, Temepo, Smyth, Isaacs, Nuku, S. Higgins, C. Rewi, F. Higgins, Ripaki, Hogan, Wihare. B team: Dixon, Flavell, Proctor, Edmonds, S. Ohlsen, Hokden, Russell, B. Wilson, Moses, Rolleston, T. Warren, B. Hall, Amorangi, Riki, Riddell. Replacements: Backs, Wharepapa, McCorkindale, Riki, W. Warren, Hepi, Kuku, D. Temara. Forwards, Brown, Katene, Jennings, T. Cawte, E. Moses. GALATEA RESULTS Murupara went further ahead in the Galatea Rugby competition when they defeated M.O.W. 9-6 on Saturday. The results of the other games played were: Waiohau 11, Ruatahuna 0. Minginui won by default from Kaingaroa.

SENIOR B RUGBY PLAYERS The names of two players were ommitted from the Whakatane senior B Rugby team, which is to play Rangitaiki at Te Teko on Monday. The players, both forwards, are E. Tuapawa and Kopae (Poroporo). They will be required to attend the practice on Sunday morning at Whakatane Field.

Buses for all teams going to Te Teko will leave McComb’s bus depot f on Monday morning. The bus carrying juniors leaves at 11 o’clock and the senior teams at noon. TEAM FOR TOMORROW United seniors to play Ruatoki at Whakatane: McMillan, Shaw, Hunt, Taylor, Rutherford, Malaquin, Callaghan, Haddon, Goodwin, Woods, Dines, Ruffles, K. Butler, D. Butler, Green, Howat, Parkinson, Gardiner.
