Whakatane Druids Lodge Officers Are All Re-Elected
Bro. C. Zinsli, district president, was present at the half yearly election of officers of the Whakatane Druids Lodge held ,on Monday night. All officers were re-elected to their chairs and two vacancies, which had occurred during the last term, were filled. Whakatane and Edgecumbe Lodges have decided to hold a combined instalation of 'officers in Whakatane on June 12, and plans are well in hand for a social evening to follow. The holders of the indoor bowls silver buttons, Mrs Bell, Mrs Chapman, A. Cruse and R. Schou (skip), were challenged and after a fiveall draw, played another head to win thus retaining the buttons.
