Bay Of Plenty Rugby Team Selected To Play East Coast
Three Whakatane players have been selected in the Bay of Plenty Rugby team to play East Coast at Opotiki on Saturday. They are E. Welch, fullback, H. Ranapia, lock, and O. Anderson, hooker. One member of last year’s team, B. McGougan, has been selected as an emergency. The full team: — Fullback: E. Welch (Whakatane). Three-quarters: F. Martin (Rotorua), T. Kapua (Rotorua), R. Gardener (Tauranga). Five-eighths: A. Douglas (Rotorua), K. Sullivan (Rangitaiki); Half back: L. Raureti (Rotorua). Back row: H. Potae (Rangitaiki). Side row: W. Isaacs (Galatea), J. Ririnui (Tauranga). Locks: H. Ranapia (Whakatantp)', S. McLaughlin (Opotiki). Front row: W. H. Trotman (Tauranga), O. Anderson (Whakatane), W. Moses (Rangitaiki). Reserves: Forwards: W. Kerei (Rotorua), J. Smythe (Galatea). Backs: B. McGougan (Whakatane), S. Keno (Tauranga), D. Searle (Te Puke).
