Tenders to be in sealed envelopes marked “Tender for Contract No.—” 245 NOTICE TO MAKE RETURNS OF INCOME UNDER THE LAND AND INCOME TAX ACT, 1923, AND AMENDMENTS Notice is hereby given that returns of income for the year ended 31st Match, 1950 are: required from: (a) all companies, all persons in business .(including farming) and all trustees, executors and administrators, irrespective of whether a pro-tit or a loss has been made; and (b) gll other persons who derived during the year income from salary, wages, interest, rent, annuity, dividend, or other sources, where the total income so dferived exceeded £2OO. , Such returns are required to be delivered or forwarded to the Branch office of the Land and Income Tax Department where the taxpayer’s records are filed, — (i) not later than Ist June, 1950, where returns are for a year ending on any day falling in the period Ist October, 1949, to 31st March, 1950, inclusive, and (ii) within two months* of bal- ' ance date where returns are for a year ending on any day falling in the period Ist April, 1950 to 30th September, 1950, inclusive. Return forms are available at all post-offices or from any office of the Land and Income Tax Department. Any person failing to furnish a return within the prescribed time is liable to a fine of up to £IOO. NOTE. The extension of the date to 31st July for the furnishing of declarations of income other than salary or wages for social security charge purposes does not apply to returns of income, for income tax purposes, which must be furnished in acordance with the above notice.
