Miniature Rifles
GOOD SHOOTING FOR TROPHY There was a high standard of shooting in the inter-house team’s trophy shoot of the Whakatane Legion Miniature Rifle Club on Tuesday night, won by Armstrong’s Garage team, R. G. Woods, A. J. Harris, W- Nicholson, M. J. Dippie, who defeated W. Alexander, J. H. Yates, T. Arden and K. Farquhar of the Road Services.
In addition to the shoot six mem bersc of the Legion of Frontiersmen shot on special targets for a postal competition with Squadrons throughout New Zealand. Miss A. Bathe of the Juniors again won the senior silver teaspoon trophy on handicap and Barry Whittaker won the Junior pennant. Scores:—
