Gay Appearance Of Hall At Monthly Matata Meeting
There were so many entries for a jam jar of flowers at the monthly meeting of the Matata Women’s Institute that the hall had quite a gay appearance. The new president, Mrs C. Conn, presided in an able manner over a smaller than usual attendance.
Mrs K. Caverhill paid a well-de-served tribute to the retiring president, Mrs R. Withy, who has been in the position for the last four yearfe. . The piano fund benefited considerably from the proceeds of a well filled sales table. It was decided to hold a garden party to raise funds for the institute.
