W AIR AKA PLAYS RUATOKI ON SATURDAY Last year’s competition winners Wairaka will meet the newly entered team Ruatoki at Taneatua in the senior Whakatane Rugby competition on Saturday. This will be the main game in that centre. At Whakatane Field No. 1 United will play Taneatua while on the No. 2 fiield Poroporo meets Paroa. The junior and third grade games will continue on Satturday. All senior games will start at 3 p.m., junior at 1.30 p.m. and third grade at noon. The full draw:— Senior: Taneatua v United on No. 1, referee H. Craig; Poroporo v Paroa on No. 2, J. Keepa; Ruatoki v Wairaka at Taneatua, H. W. Chambers.
Junior: Poroporo v School on No. 2, G. Oswald; Paroa v Wairaka on No. i, T. De Lacey; United v Taneatua at Taneatua, C. White. Third'Grade: School A N School B on No. 1, G. Gartshore; Paroa v United on No. 2, D. Debreceny. DRAW FOR RANGITAIKI GAMES Senior Rugby games in the Rangitaiki Sub-Union will be played at Thornton and Te Teko on Saturday with junior matches at Matata and Otakiri. The draw:— Senior: Thornton v Edgecumbe at Thornton at 2 p.m., referee A. Te Teko v Matata at Te Teko at 2 p.m., A. Hegh. Junior: Matata v Edgecumbe a". Matata at 1 p.m., B. Smith; Otakiri v Te Teko at Otakiri at 1 p.m., O. Lord. WEEK-END TEAMS United juniors to play Taneatua at Taneatua.
