Retailers' College Sought For Town

The Whakatane Chamber of Commerce is investigating the possibility of establishing a College of Retailers in the town. Training will be given in all branches of retailing and courses will be available for senior, intermediate and junior assistants.

There, will be a cost for each course, which will last over a number of lessons. These will be taken in classes held during the day in working hours. At present the Chamber wants to .know how many applicants there are likely to be. Before the college can be brought to tYhakatane it will have to be guaranteed a certain number of pupils.
