Two Injured In Edgecumbe Accident

When their car collided with a light truck about 200 yards on the Whakatane side of the Edgecumbe failway sub-way late Friday night both the occupants, Mr and Mrs E. H. Tuapawa, were injured although not seriously. Mr Tuapawa suffered a fractured bone in Jhis hand and Mrs Tuapawa a fractured collar bone. Both are visitors to the district and come from Gisborne. Neither were admitted to the hospital. When the accident occured the car was travelling towards Edgecumbe and the truck was proceeding in the opposite direction. Both Vehicles were extensively damaged. The driver of the truck was not injured.
