PUBLIC NOTICES NOTICE TO RATEPAYERS THE BAY OF PLENTY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. £45,000 RETICULATION EXTENSION LOAN 1949 Notice is hereby given that an extraordinary special meeting of the Members of the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board will be held in the Board’s Offices at Church Street, Opotiki on Tuesday the 16th day of May 1950 at 11 a.m. to consider, and if deemed advisable, to confirm the following Resolution moved and carried at -an extraordinary special meeting of the said Board held at the Board’s Offices aforesaid, on Friday the 14th day of April 1950, the text of which Resolution is as. follows: “That the Bay of Plenty ElectricPower Board, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936, the ElectricPower Boards Act, 1925, and all other enabling authorities, doth hereby resolve to raise by way of Special Order a Special Loan of £45,000 (Forty-five thousand pounds), to be known as the Bay of Plenty Electric-Power Board Reticulation Extension Loan 1949 of £45,000. in order to provide additional monies for the purpose of further reticulation of electricpower within the whole of the Bay of Plenty Electric-Power District.” If 5 per centum of the Ratepayers whose names are inscribed on the Ratepayers Roll of the Rating Area by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the said Board, demand that a Poll be taken on the proposal then a Poll of the Ratepayers is required to be taken. A copy of the above Resolution is deposited at the Public Office of the said Board and at the Office of the Local authority of each constituent district and such notices are open to inspection by the public for at least 21 days, immediately preceding the day appointed for the holding of the above mentioned proposed meeting of the Members of the Board on the 16th day of May, 1950.
