Clothing Treated With Metals

A method of treating textiles with aluminium and other metallic substances that was recently developed in the United States may result in lightweight clothes for winter wear. Fabric treated under the process, it is reported, becomes an insulator, permitting the body to retain its natural heat in winter and keeping extreme heat from penetrating the body in summer. The metallic finish can be applied to nylon, cotton, rayon, and wool.
