Winter Show 1950 JUNE 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th Owing 1 to the large area of trade space sold, several thousand feet of extra space will have to be provided. If local exhibitors require increased space or h&ve not already booked, the matter is now becoming urgent. The public will not be solicited for donations but voluntary donations will be gratefully accepted by the executive. Every business house in Whakatane will be canvassed for schedule advertising space in the next few days, and it will be of assistance if prospective advertisers will prepare their copy at once. The secretary will gladly assist in,the preparation, if business prevents your attention. Many new features have been suggested for the Show, and, if any readers can help in this direction, their co-operation will be appreciated. While the Show must pay its way, its objective is not profit, but the development and advertising of this town and district. From today the Executive Committee and the Secretary will be actively preparing for a bigger, better and more attractive Show, and we would urge all exhibitors to start preparing their entries at once. Richard Cobbe, Secretary, P.O. Box 213. Phones 398 D and 146 A (new and not listed).
