STROKE HANDICAP FOR SATURDAY
A stroke handicap in conjunction with the first eclectic competition *
is to be played at the Whakatane Golf Links on Saturday. Last week some good scores were returned in the mixed Canadian foursomes played on opening day.
Top scores:— Miss Carter and D. Morpeth 90—• 16—74, Mrs Morpeth (Sen) and R. Morpeth 92—17—75, Mr and Mrs L. W. Luxton 87—12—75, Mr and Mrs G. Tippett 83—8—75, Mr and Mrs J. B. Thomas 86—10—76, Mr and Mrs A. Blake 89—12—77.
Forty-three braille periodicals for the blind are published in the United States.
