Pianist-Operator Entertains Audience

Whakatane picturegoers on Saturday and Monday nights were treated to some outstanding piano playing by Mr A. Harris, relieving operator at the Regent Theatre, Whakatane. Showing a remarkable ability at the piano Mr Haris, who is only 21, entertaijied the large crowds to a great variety of music, from the present day light popular type to the deeper, but more intricate classical music. He mow d from one to the other with unconcerned ease. Mr Harris writes his own music and has already passed eight examinations. He hails from Palmerston North and started playing when he was five.
