Births Increase At District Hospital

Forty-six births (24 male and 22 female), a definite increase on previous months were handled in the Whakatane District Hospital last month, the medical superintendent, Dr E. T. Dawson, reported to the monthly meeting of the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board. There were five deaths, one being a female. At the beginning of April there were 100 patients in the hospital, 55 of whom were females.

During March 192 patients were admitted and 180 discharged.
