Popular Minnie Golf Craze Back Again
Minnie golf sometimes seen in the Bay of Plenty, the game that •swept Sydney in the early “thirties,” has returned there. Minnie golf course operator Eddie Martin, -of Brighton-Le-Sands, says it is “on again.” He opened his course When he heard the craze had come back in the United States.
“I’ve been waiting for the cycle to come round and it’s here at last,” he said. Recent visitors from America say the game has re-appeared in California on a lavish scale. New courses include coloured lighting, snack bars, music and drink stalls.
Eddie’s course has tunnels, trapdoors, loop-the-loop devices and winding paths of concrete.
