CONDITIONS OF TENDER 1. TENDERS shall be in writing addressed to The Secretary, Whakatane Harbour Board, Whakatane, and marked on outside “Tender for Lease.” 2. TENDERS shall close on Thursday the 20th day of April, 1950. The highest or any tender not necessarily be accepted. 3. WITHIN one month after acceptance of tender the Lessee shall execute a Lease in conformity with the subjoined conditions which Lease shall be prepared by the Board’s Solicitor and the costs thereof shall be paid by the Lessee. MATERIAL CONTENTS OF LEASE 1. THE Lease shall be for a term of 14 years with a perpetual right of renewal for terms of 14 years each in acordance with the provisions of the First Schedule of “The Public Bodies Leases Act, 1908.” / 2. THE Lessee covenants to pay rent half-yearly in advance and all rates and taxes, to refrain from offensive trading, to repair and maintain, to make sanitary installation, to erect a building of value of f at least £2,990 within two years and not to assign lease before such ei ection. 3.
