Higher Admission Charges Decided On For Rugby Matches
Decision reached by the New Zealand Rugby Council in connection with the British team’s visit this season included a higher scale of charges for admission and the holding of two trials at Wellington on May 16. Faced with the problem of meeting costs estimated to be at least double those incurred when the 1930 team came here, the council agreed upon admission prices which will hardly show a corresponding increase.
For provincial matches the standard charge for entry to grounds will be decided by the unions concerned, while the standard rate of covered stands will be 12/6. For Test matches the gate charge will 'be 3/6 and seats, in covered stands will cost £l, with the open stands again a matter for the unions staging the matches.
