Motor Cycling

LOCAL RIDERS DO WELL \ AT OHOPE Whakatane riders were well to the fore in the Bay of Plenty Motor Cycle Club's grass track -meeting held on the Caledonian Sports ground, Ohope, on Saturday. With competitors from all over the Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, Hamilton and Gisborne a large crowd* was treated to some outstanding riding and tense moments during a number of spectacular spills, which, however, did not produce any injuries. B. Wood and F. Cameron, both of Whakatane, were among two of the most successful riders of the day although J. Marsh, Whakatane, and P. Callaghan were always well up with the leaders.
