The official opening will be broadcast by IYZ, Rotorua, this being the first broadcast on this coast of an Agricultural Show Owing to the number of horse event entries already received, the stewards will have to insist on competitors being at the starting point on time, otherwise it will be impossible to keep to schedule. Car owners who have taken out membership tickets have free car entrance, and to the limit of available space, ring side parking. The President has arranged for the National Caledonian Dancing Competitions to be held under the shade of the giant gum trees, so you can watch in comfort Hot water and refreshments of all kinds will be available, aid will be served by efficient staffs in each booth. The Show Executive makes a final appeal to the farming and business community to take out membership tickets at a cost of one guinea. Friday will be your last opportunity, and the Secretary’s office is next the Union Bank and opposite the National Bank. The path and cycling track through the Domain will be closed on Saturday. T. H.
