Cities Adopted By United States

In the last three years, more than 200 cities and towns in the United States have “adopted” communities in Europe for special care and attention. This care includes sending food, clothing, toys, school supplies, medicine and other gifts to the people of the “adopted” community. Friendly relations are promoted also through the exchange of letters and exchange visits of citizens and, in some instances, of city officials.
