Bridal Gown With Built-In Swim Suit
Designed for Hollywood weddings where every well-appointed home has a swimming pool, is the Aquabridal gown and swim suit by Howard Greer. Long known for his ultra approach to fashion and his belief in glamorising the feminine form, Greer approaches swim-suit design with an untramelled imagination. His question,is: Why bother with a pool-side cabana when a suit may be worn under any dress from bridal gown to evening dress? The “aquabride” ensemble consists of a halter swim suit of white slipper satin with scalloped skirt. When the bride is ready for a swim, off comes the detachable long skirt and veil. For midnight swimmers, suit evening dresses have been devised. All have detachable skirts. ** * Copper production in the United States during 1948 totalled 834,813 tons, the U.S. Bureau of Mines reports.
