A. AND P. SOCIETY ✓ 41st. Annual Show WHAKATANE DOMAIN SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 1950 An appeal to the business community to support the Show. Recent national financial developments show that if this country is to remain prosperous, that prosperity must come from the land, the source of all New Zealand’s wealth. , A business man, whether he be an employer or employee, who does not recognise this fact is blind to the implications of lower produce prices and reduced production. A. and P. Shows help farmers to breed better stock, to gain knowledge of improved^arming methods, but these Shows can only be successful with the co-operation of town residents. The employee’s job, the business or profession of the employer are dependent on the produce of the land and when they support this Show they are helping to safeguard their livelihood. The Show Executive appeals to the town residents to become members of the Society and above all to keep Saturday, February 25th free. Membership £1 Is per anum entitling member and lady to free admission. Free car admission and entry fees unless otherwise stated at half rates The path and cycling track through the Domain will be closed on Show Day. The Executive has been compelled to adopt this safety measure owing to the large entries already received. T. H. Morgan, , Secretary, P.O. Box 87, Whakatane.
