Civic Welcome For Australian Surfers

Following the arrival of the touring Australian surf life saving team at Whakatane tomorrow there is to be a civic reception at the Whakatane Hotel by the Mayor, Mr B. S Barry. An invitation has been extended to the public to be present at this function, which is to take place at 11 a.m. In the afternoon the visitors will be giving a surfing display at Ohope.
