Successful Order For Possession
An order for possession of a house by the owner, Pango Whetu (Mr Buddie) against the present occupant Ewert Murray, was won by plaintiff before Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., at Whakatane yesterday. Evidence was given by Mrs Whetu and defendant but Mr Walton gave his decision in favour of plaintiff and ordered Murray to va-. cate the house within three months.
Live Bait Fishing While he was out fishing for trout in the Waimana River on November 19, 1949, with a live minnow in an area where this is prohibited Richard Arthur Wardlaw, (Mr Chappell) farmer, of Waimana, was caught by a Government ranger. The result was a fine of £3, costs 12s, imposed bv Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Whakatane Magistrate’s Court yesterday. x r x Failed To Give Way When he failed to give way at the intersection of Salonika and Douglas Streets, Whakatane, on January 30, Thomas Whittle, faimer, Awakeri, collided with another. He was fined £l, costs 10s.
