Even old residents will be surprised to learn that this is the 41st Annual Show, and that through good times and bad, the indomitable spirit of the old settlers kept the Show flag flying. Undermentioned are the ladies and men who today are preparing for a record Show built upon the firm foundations laid by the pioneers, many of whom have passed on. This year the stewards are already devising methods of dealing with the record entries now coming in. Home Industries, Stock Entries, Pony Club Entries and Machinery Entries, will tax pens and grounds to the utmost. The Girls’ Marching Association will be entering teams running into double figures, and the National Caledonian Dancing competitions will bring competitors from a wide area. The Showmen’s Association will bring many new exhibits from Australia and overseas. Each issue of this paper will keep you informed of all Show events and matters of Show interest. T. H .
