Cut By One-Fifth
When hardware dealers order galvanised iron piping these days their order is usually cut by one-fifth by the N distributing merchants they deal from. This is considered to be a fairly accurate figure as it is believed that many farmers and other users of the piping are double and even triple booking with different firms. For this reason figures received by firms do not give an accurate picture of the situation.
